Adamant Group and Cat Loi JSC Launch Adacat Ltd

Driving Innovation and Sustainability in the Energy Industry

Ferrara, Italy January 20, 2025 – Adamant Group, a leading company in renewable feedstocks and liquid biofuels, and Cat Loi JSC, a prominent producer of cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) in Vietnam, are pleased to announce the creation of Adacat Ltd, a joint venture dedicated to processing CNSL. This partnership reinforces both companies’ commitment to sustainability and innovation in renewable energy.

A Milestone in CNSL Processing
As its first initiative, Adacat Ltd has invested in a state-of-the-art distillation facility located near Ho Chi Minh City’s port area. This facility will process CNSL into cardanol, a renewable material widely used in energy applications. Operations are expected to begin in Q1 2025, marking a significant step in meeting the growing global demand for sustainable materials.

Expanding the Vision: Ivory Coast Integration
In addition to its operations in Vietnam, Adamant Group is advancing its investment in the Ivory Coast with a CNSL processing facility near Abidjan. Set to start operations within 18 months, this facility highlights the strategic importance of the Ivory Coast in Adamant’s global sustainability efforts. Together, these projects emphasise Adamant’s focus on integrating sustainable feedstock solutions across key global markets.

Riccardo Marchetti, CEO of Adamant Group, stated: “We have been active in the cashew nut shell liquid market since 2021, and this partnership with Cat Loi strengthens our ability to source high-quality feedstock from Vietnam. Adacat Ltd is a perfect complement to our ongoing investment in the Ivory Coast, further enhancing our global sustainability strategy.”

Mr. Sac, CEO of Cat Loi JSC, commented: “This joint venture with Adamant Group expands our capabilities in cashew nut shell processing and enables us to add downstream value, reinforcing our leadership in the sector.”

Adacat Ltd embodies Adamant Group and Cat Loi JSC’s shared mission to promote sustainability and innovation. By processing agricultural residues like CNSL into valuable products, the partnership supports a circular economy and contributes to reducing environmental impact.
